I am very sick, and I shared my sickness with my dad (sorry about that).

I got it from the computer lab at school (I think).

All I know aside from those two facts is that: --this is really horrible for "just a respiratory thing."

-- but it could definitely be worse, I could have ick or blah.

I have been busy with school and keeping my grades up up up [as in... all A(s) and B(s), Thank you very much, brain].

Thanksgiving... the day of the Turkey. For once (has not really happened in a long time), not only does my dad NOT have to work (!), but I am going to be HERE instead of (at mom's) for Turkey day... YAY (not yah, yeah, or sounding like the "a" in BLACK pronunciation of the word).

He is not having to do "all of the hard work" this year, since my grandmother said she was "putting her foot down and wanted to do it this year for once"... (in the past - at least the past that includes my life from the age of about SIX until now, she has stated that she "did not feel up to doing all of that work" and had passed it off to either her sister, or my dad, or some other relative.

Holy cow what is going on in the world for all of this crap to happen out of the blue?

Anyway, I have to spend part of the mini-holiday studying, because upon returning to school, I have three tests. (W-T-H)..eck?

You people enjoy your Turkey day, I'll see ya around.

My Uncle Tim has given me his old laptop. It isn't very fast, and my dad is still updating it, since it was on the floor of the closet for about a year, and has not had any updates done.

Other than that, NOT MUCH is going on.

BLTs for dinner tonight, Roasted Chicken and herbed rice and salad for dinner tomorrow.

School is going OK, the chick with the locker next to mine left some kind of food or something in the locker over the weekend and HOLY COW does it smell. Since the lockers have "vents" between each locker, the stank is now notice-able in my locker and has permeated the pages of my textbooks. I told my dad about it and he gave me one of these .

What the helz is wrong with people that they leave a lunchmeat or tuna or whatever in God's world that was in a school locker over a 3 day weekend?

Homework Overload

I understand the reasoning behind homework assignments. It is not that I think we should "never" have "any" of such assignments; but, REALLY, should we really be spending 4 to 5 HOURS studying after spending 7 to 8 hours AT SCHOOL?

As much as I would love to update (whoever it is that reads and cares) on the recent events in life - I have to get to those books.

Indeed, it Has Been a While...

I was so busy all summer that I don't think I posted even one time. School has started (again), and I guess it has gone OK so far (today was day 2.)

I have had a crap-week, because the boyfriend I had all summer decided, rather suddenly, to break-up on the first day of school. He did this in the least-courageous way possible - by slipping a note through the vents of my school locker. What a flipping pansyass. It did not state any reason for his decision, other than to say that he "thought it was best that we don't stay tied down, since it is..." [his] "...senior year." [[wtfe]]

Other than that, school was not bad, one of my teachers seemed a bit angry (at who, I have no idea, since we had only been in his presence 15 minutes, and it was the first class of the first day of school.)

I hope everyone had a great start to their year. Mine I guess can be best classified as a half-n-half [half not bad, half 5h!t].

This. is Fantastically Good

I just tried this beverage... and OMG it is good. What I did though, is I poured it into the glass liquid measuring cup thing, and heated it in the microwave (because it is cold outside). 

Today - I feel better than I did yesterday. (Thank God). I am done with school for the day, and have double homework to do (I am half way done with all of that mess).

Pretty soon, I am going to start cooking dinner, so that when my dad gets home - everything is ready to just sit down and eat.

We're gonna have

wedge salad (recipe)

orchiette pasta with mini chicken meatballs (recipe) - only I am using ground turkey instead of ground chicken)

garlic bread / toast (recipe) - only I am not using the herbs called for in the recipe

I just realized that I am all about food today. :D

OH -- and my dad is going to be disappointed because his dinner guests for Friday night have called to cancel. He was so looking forward to it, so that sucks. What sucks more is, I answered the phone and they left the message with ME, so I have to be the one to tell him.
